33 Years of Experience. One Goal: Get It Right.
In 1993, Rolling Thunder Audio started with just $3,500, a passion for cars and audio, and a hobby that was supposed to make a little extra money on the side.
There was no corporate backing, investment group, formal schooling in car audio, or years spent working in a stereo shop.
Just a passion for the industry, a willingness to learn, and a commitment to doing things right.
Thirty three years later, we're still here.
We've watched the automotive electronics industry completely transform from the days of cassette players to today's sophisticated factory electronics, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, backup cameras, dash cameras, blind spot monitoring, remote starters, advanced audio systems, and much more.
And we've changed right along with it.

One of the things that makes Rolling Thunder Audio different is that we don't believe in simply selling you whatever product you saw online or whatever somebody told you that you need.
We believe in listening to the customer, understanding what they want to accomplish, and recommending the right solution for their vehicle and their budget.
After 33 years of installing and working with countless brands, products, and system combinations, we've learned what works and just as importantly, what doesn't.

33 Years and Still Going
Rolling Thunder Audio is proud to be the oldest car audio and accessory shop in Orange County, New York.
We've been here through a lot of changes.
We were here when The Wiz was in business. We were here when Circuit City was here. We've watched major retailers come and go while we've continued serving our customers.
We've made it through the recession of 2008, COVID, and countless changes in the automotive industry.
We're still here because our customers keep coming back.
We Ride. We Install. We Evolve.
Our move into motorcycle audio and lighting was a natural one because we ride motorcycles ourselves.
As the industry evolved, so did we. Motorcycle audio led to more lighting and accessories, and eventually boats and many other automotive electronics and accessories.
Today, Rolling Thunder Audio is about much more than car stereos.
We're constantly learning, adapting, and expanding with the technology and the needs of our customers.
But after 33 years, one thing hasn't changed.
